Bokenkamp Fashion Show
is huge success for children!

Corpus Christi - The Corpus Christi community struck a pose for Bokenkamp Children’s Shelter in Corpus Christi on Sept. 30, raising more than $35,000 at the annual Change a Life at Bokenkamp Fashion Show and Luncheon. Guests enjoyed the latest fashions from Stein Mart, food, fellowship and live and silent auctions that raised nearly $6,000! Special thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, guests and supporters that made the benefit such a success.

Thank you, sponsors! Because of you,

Kent Oliver, a long-time supporter of Bokenkamp struts his stuff down the catwalk in fashions from Stein Mart.
Committee members Kandy Wheeler and Cecilia Rhoades make their bids at the silent auction tables. The committee gathered more than 100 items to be auctioned off at the event, raising nearly $5,000.
Committee member Lois White sold tickets to guests for a chance to win a beautiful hand-made crocheted coverlet (pictured in background). Tickets were also sold to churches and organizations before the event.
Lutheran Social Services CEO Kurt Senske liked the fashions so much that he wanted to try something for himself. This model's hat suit him well - purple is the official color of LSS!
After the benefit, committee chair Elaine Brundrett finds the nearest seat to take a much-deserved rest. She and the other committee members work for months to find sponsors and auction items, promote the event and make sure every little detail is taken care of to make the event a success.
